My version of Hamlet's monologue

Here is my simple version of William Shakespeare's "To be, or Not to Be".

This poem is a very short summary of the actual monologue. The actual monologue

To live or die,

Which is the worse one?


The pain of life,

Or, death and the uncertainy

that may come?



The problems in living

are ones we condone.

But, the problems in death?

That is unknown.



Life's bad but death

might be worse?

Thought breeds inaction,

that's my curse.
